Vancouver Winter Olympics

With the Vancouver Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games starting in February (from 12 to 28), we will see an increase of up to 71% in search of cheap flights to Vancouver, compared with last year. In this sense, is clear that in the same way that we are now seeing an increase in trips to Vancouver, we will see an increase in searches for flights to London when the 2012 Olympics approaching. The celebration of the Olympic Games are a big boost to a city: investment in new infrastructure, ski lifts and hotels, plus global publicity. It means that the host cities will remain references in lists of skiers for a long time, since the Olympic legacy lasts for many years. Vancouver, Canada 2010 is considered as one of the three cities with best quality of life in the world. It concentrates a large Spanish-speaking population.

Vancouver is a city of skiing, with three practicable areas within the limits of the city itself: Grouse, Seymour and the Cypress Mountain. For those who want more, they can make the two hour trip to Whistler Blackcomb, rated as one of the best ski resorts in the world. With more than 1,214 hectares of land and an average of more than 10 metres of snow per year, Whistler is a very worthy host.
